So nice to see G and Gigi this weekend! We left Friday night after work and got to Dalton around 11 PM. Ethan slept the entire way there, but then decided to go on strike when we got there. In all fairness, we hyped him up. We couldn't just bring him inside and not have him ineract with the grandparents so after about 45 minutes of playtime, we attempted to put him down. I think we all know how that went. After 2 hours of rocking him, we finally just placed him in bed with us. It's hard to believe that was the first time we had done that for an entire night and of course I was terrified I had a nightmare that he fell off the bed and because we have two twin beds that are pushed together, I was so nervous that he was going to fall through the crack. I put a pillow on either side of him and I slept in about five inches of space. He survived.
Dad put him through an olympic workout with the exercise ball and made sure he had an adequate amount of tummy time and opportunities to roll over. He did this for about 2 hours per day so Ethan was exhausted (but strong!) by the end of the day! Dad also wanted to be sure we knew how to properly feed Ethan. His way was tucking Ethan into his arm and using the all metal spoon. In his defense it worked (the first time), but definitely not a sustainable practice, especially as Ethan continues to grow!
I wish I had all the money in the world so that we could buy a brownstone and have them live in the ground floor. :(
He's gorgeous. Such a fun lookin wknd. Can we all go in on a brownstone together?!
