The Inaugural UCHS Graduation

Four years have gone by in a flash. I remember the first day of 9th grade having slept one hour and worrying about whether or not any students would actually show up. I remember thinking through every detail and seeing the first class enter with the awkwardness still of middle schoolers, but a savviness of students who were much older. The Class of 2013 is like no other--they love to problem-solve, ask questions, lead, and truly set an example. I am really going to miss this group. We had a number of speakers--Marc Sternberg, Sherri Shepherd, Brett Peiser, and our salutatorian and valedictorian. It was incredibly special  and such a joy to watch each of them cross the stage. It still hasn't fully hit me yet and I'm not sure when it will. Maybe when next year kicks off and I don't hear Ashley in the hallway or have Lamont to make a wise-crack. They have definitely impacted me and the students below them and I am utterly grateful.
