Happy Four Months, Ethan!

Ethan is four months old! According to Babycenter, researchers believe that babies can now understand all the basic sounds that make up his native language. I keep trying to get him to say mama, but to no avail yet....

What's up with E: He makes more and more sounds each day! From laughing to squealing, he is Mr. Personality. We head to our four month visit in a week so I'll be able to report on his weight and height then!

A few other things we've noticed:
  • Ethan is holding his head up and can dominate in the bumbo! He still tilts a little to the left, especially when he's tired.
  • He is drooling like crazy. Is teething next?
  • He greets us every morning with the biggest smile!
  • Sleeping in the crib is now routine and for the most part sleeps from 8:30-5:30. Daytime naps are getting better, but he still needs us to soothe him to sleep.
  • He has found his hands and chews on his fingers and fists.
  • He LOVES his tongue. When you stick it out at him, he responds by doing the same thing.
  • He gets startled easily.
  • His longest nap stretches are when he is cuddled up with dad on the bed.
  • He wakes up and entertains himself in his bed.
  • He fully grabs onto things on his activity mat.
  • He laughs fully and his shoulders have started shaking when he laughs.
  • His pout is even more pronounced. When he is about to cry, his lip shakes.
  • When we are soothing him to sleep, he puts his hand over ours. It really is precious.
Here are pictures from his photo shoot. He looks like a bit of a brooder here. Maybe it's the AC/DC?!?
