A Stroll Through Downtown Dalton

Life is easy in Dalton. It's quiet. People say hello when you pass them on the street. People wait for people to cross the street at the crosswalk. People seem to take life a little less seriously. People are much more relaxed. It was a perfect place to grow up and a perfect place to visit.

Michael, Dad, and I went for a walk on Sunday morning and it was nice to walk by all of the homes and remember my running routes in high school, the families where I babysat (I actually babysat a 2 week old baby...when I was 13! Crazy that I was trusted), high school memories, etc. Downtown Dalton still has the same old-school choir boys next to the clock and cheesy decorations up in the park during the holiday season. It's nice to know that no matter how much things change, some things still stay exactly the same. Merry Christmas!
