We had a wonderful few days with Ravi, Josh, Mom, and Dad! I had forgotten how loud everyone is until I needed to remind everyone to lower their voices while Ethan was sleeping in the room. This reminder happened at least 5749837589437598 times. It was exciting to have our first Christmas with a baby around for everyone to shower with love, giggles, and ridiculous games! Ethan and I slept downstairs near the fireplace since it was warmer than it was upstairs. I have definitely become the over-reactive overprotective parent and wanted to make sure he was warm enough. Clearly, nothing happened to Yogi, Ravi, or me from growing up in a chillier home, but with baby #1, I didn't want to take my chances. We can't stuff him into a sleeping bag like we did growing up.
Ethan was somehow (and it really was a miracle) able to sleep with all six of us hooting and hollering around him. No need for the pouring rain app. The Roth family created white noise seamlessly!
