I am 100% positive that Ethan's early arrival was done purposefully to throw me off of a schedule and to teach me the importance of being present and taking each moment in life as it comes. My parents received a phone call from Michael letting them know that Baby Ethan was coming and that they should come to New York as soon as they could. We also desperately needed someone to be at our house when the furniture came! Mom had expressed a desire to want to help throughout the pregnancy, but as all of you know, there is really nothing that needs to be done early on--it's only once the baby is here when you really need help! She got her wish--washing hundreds of little baby onesies, cleaning our apartment, waiting patiently for the furniture when all they wanted to do was to see their grandson, and making our home feel like there was always a little baby boy living there!
We are so thankful to have such loving grandparents and know they will help us as we learn what works and doesn't work with Baby E. We just wish they were closer! And they've settled on what they want Ethan to call them--Meet G and Gigi. :)
