The Calm Before the Frankenstorm

Park Slope was buzzing about the impending storm with people buying out water, batteries, paper towels, and other provisions. At the corner market, everyone was chatting about how bad the storm was going to be and whether or not we were actually even going to get any sort of rain/snow/sleet/wind! Where typically people would be in line checking their iPhones, people instead talked with one another and made their own predictions about how bad it would be.
Michael prepped the balcony by removing everything (which unfortunately meant it all needed to come in), moving the car where there weren't any trees, and making multiple trips to the store. He made his infamous sauce and we stayed inside staring at our little raptor (while toggling back and forth between football and CNN) until Sandy comes to pay her visit! School is cancelled tomorrow which is exciting for the saber team and I have to admit I am looking forward to my 3 AM feeding time in the glider where Ethan and I can stare out at the rain...
