Thankfully, we emerged unscathed from Sandy's wrath; however, there are so many less fortunate and it is truly devastating to see everyone's suffering. I cannot even imagine--from loss of family members to loss of homes, Sandy has been a complete catastrophe for so many throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. School has been cancelled for the entire week and we have a few staff members whose homes have been impacted and some who haven't been able to get back into the city. Given the fact that Michael, Ethan, and I have been homebound for the past few days, these are not my own photographs, but taken from the NY Times website to show just how intense the damage has been! Also, check out this particularly haunting video of Sandy created by
Francesco Paciocco from Prospect Heights that highlights how Sandy has impacted Brooklyn. A must view!
