Pre-Easter Celebration!

We all headed up to Triple C on Saturday night for dinner and egg decorating! Ethan was a rockstar on the way up--sleeping and holding onto his football the entire way. Yogi claims that when he does his ESPN documentary on him, he'll use that as footage! 

When we got to Alison's, we were greeted by Ethan's first Easter basket filled with some of his first solid foods, clothes, sneakers, and toys that will help him as he starts eating in just a few weeks! Debra and Chad got him a swimsuit and top, new pajamas (with awesome sneaker-like shoes), and sunglasses!

We decorated eggs and of course it became a competition! It's amazing how different egg decorating is now from when we were kids--from velvet applications to stickers to glitter to props, they have definitely ratcheted up the egg decorations! It ended with Alison and chad smashing each other's egg, but all in all, we had some stellar ones. I was especially proud of mine! As many people can attest (especially Jess/Nina/Meg), I am often quick to jump into my creations because I am impatient and then almost always feel frustrated when I am finished because I hadn't necessarily though through all of the details. This was me EVERY single year during our gingerbread competitions. I felt good about my eggs as you can see. My favorite is the last guy.
