Ethan was so cuddly last night despite him completely playing us when it was time for sleep. He's gotten very smart. Once he is put down, the tears begin and they are flowing furiously--I mean crying so much that tears are in his little ears! Honestly, there is nothing worse than a little pool of tears in the ears, but still, he wails and eventually, one of us gives in. Granted this has only happened the past two nights, but still. As soon as he is picked up, he is back to being a cuddly and sweet baby Biz. He usually falls asleep on one of us, but as soon as his little body hits the mattress it's back to the crying again. Finally, he went down for good at 8:30 last night and according to the Wonder Weeks, this is yet another growth spurt and starting at 23 weeks, babies sometimes feel abandoned when they are put down--hence the screaming fits. That at least makes me feel a little better--instead of worrying that he is in pain and teething, I can take solace in the fact that he is leaping! So...until tomorrow, we'll enjoy these photos and the sound and sight of a now sleeping baby.
