I feel so incredibly fortunate. As Michael and I transition back into work, we are so lucky to have Debra stay with Ethan for the next few months. As excited as I am to get back, it will be incredibly difficult to leave the guy whom I've spent every waking minute with over the past 3 months. That being said, knowing that he is with his loving aunt makes all the difference in the world. On day one, Debra already got him into his crib for a nap, put him on a daily eating schedule with his bottles, had him on his gym mat, and kept copious notes of his pooping, peeing, sleeping, and eating. Ethan is happy, Mama is thrilled, and Debra is amazing. Family is certainly a blessing and one that we don't take lightly.
While Debra was with Ethan, I went out and treated myself to a new Apple computer (perfect to create Baby Biz movies!) and some clothes for work! On the way home, I saw a little boy laughing with his father and I immediately had such a pang of homesickness. I couldn't wait to get home and smell little E and hear his little laugh. Life with Ethan has gotten so much richer--watching Michael with him and watching Ethan grow is truly a miracle. There is much gratitude oozing from this mama...
