Daily Happenings at 110 Warren Street

I can't say that I am necessarily surprised by these things, but they are new things to me as a mom and some of the things that have consumed my days at home:

  1. Doing at least one load of laundry per day
  2. Tracking Ethan's every move with Total Baby and instead of looking at Excel charts of student data, am looking at Excel charts of his breast-feeding, peeing/pooping, and sleeping.
  3. Sitting on the couch with Michael and staring at Ethan when he is sleeping
  4. Obsessively cleaning the house
  5. Trying to sleep train Ethan by keeping him in the living room during the day so that he can get used to noise. This includes vacuuming around him while he's sleeping. (Amazing that he doesn't wake up by the way!)
  6. Reading different books to him daily and learning a whole new genre of children's books
  7. Running the dishwasher once per day
  8. Creating playlists to soothe Ethan to sleep
  9. Napping when Ethan naps
  10. Being amazed at how much I can love someone who is only three weeks old
  11. Talking with Michael about what type of personality we think he will have and who he will be taking after
  12. Enjoying multiple wake-ups throughout the night because it gives me a chance to hang out with Ethan
  13. Tracking the various sizes and colors of his excrement and calling Michael in (or vice versa) to look at it
  14. Figuring out all of the daily outfit changes and documenting each of them
  15. Talking to Freda Rosenfeld on a daily basis
  16. Watching CNN multiple hours per day (and also sneaking in the Kardashians, Army Wives (a new show for me!), and other TV shows
  17. Taking multiple photographs per day
  18. Creating ridiculous videos trying to catch Ethan at various"milestone" moments
  19. Pumping and trying to clean while doing it
  20. Obsessing about Ethan's weight
  21. Watching Michael as a father

It's hard to imagine life three weeks ago and how it took such a remarkable turn. I can't imagine it any other way...
