Ethan's Weight Gain and Sleeping Sans Sleep Sheep

Exciting news! We brought Ethan back to the doctor and he gained almost a pound this past week! He's up to a burly 7 lbs 12.5 oz. Looks like he's been getting plenty of calories! As long as those cheeks continue getting bigger, we're in business!

Also, I am amazed at how much Michael and I have been loving sleeping with the Sleep Sheep. For those of you who don't know about this amazing stuffed animal, it's basically a sound machine inside an insanely soft stuffed animal. It can play the sound of a human heart (which sounds incredibly bizarre), a steady rainstorm, the ocean waves, and whales (which is also a bit random). When the machine turns off (and even if Ethan is sleeping), one of us has been turning back on the sound of the rain because of how soothing it is. Post Sandy, it does take on a different connotation; however, it has lulled us all into deep slumbers over the past three weeks! A must have for any new parent! I can't imagine life without it....
