I feel like "only in the Roth family" is a phrase we use often because there are always things that we do/say/ experience that truly make our interactions unique/crazy/bizarre/one-of-a-kind. I was thrilled that all of us were able to be together Pre-Thanksgiving and it was amazing to watch us continue on as usual but now with having an additional member of the Rothignano tribe. Ravi was getting over a cold so he didn't come over until Tuesday and of course came over wearing a mask and a scarf. I couldn't help but laugh since he clearly took it to another level--the Ravi Shankar level. No reason for the Roth family to ever TIDAN. They just keep going and going and going...
I made a
vegetarian lasagna and
bourbon mashed sweet potatoes that were both surprisingly good! We had salad, brussel sprouts, and bread galore--lots of carbs to add to the god-forsaken carb face that we all abhor. Roth family time is only complete with ripping on one another and
no one gets out of it. From Yogi's girl of the month to Ravi's meisner face, from making model faces to everyone's ability to fall asleep at a moment's notice, from hearing everyone's baby talk when talking with Ethan to Will's "campfire talks," there was no shortage of laughter here for Turkey day!
